Woodlawn United is looking for Community Surveyors.

These are individuals who have Woodlawn Connections and love their community.

 Part-time opportunity with the potential to grow.

 

Surveyors will be responsible for administering a 130+ question survey to residents of the focus area neighborhood. This survey covers 13 indicators of neighborhood wellness, including economic, social, and structural topics to understand the respondent’s experience of living in their neighborhood. Parcel maps, neighborhood surveys, and Census data come together to provide communities with a detailed, yet comprehensive, picture of neighborhood health.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Completing training on the surveying process (90-120 minute training session)
  • Attending neighborhood events or going door to door to find residents interested in participating in the survey (lead organization will provide events/suggestions for finding respondents)
  • While administering surveys, surveyor will read out each survey question as written and record the respondent’s answers on the tablet
  • Keeping records of completed surveys
  • Managing confidential information
  • Distributing compensation for survey respondents
